In 2012, Human Vaccines became Human Vaccines & Immnunotherapeutics. For now, the current impact factor is reflected under Human Vaccines on Thomson Reuters. Since the 2012 impact factor is related to articles published in 2010 and 2011, these articles were also published under the title of Human Vaccines. In 2014 we will receive impact factors for both Human Vaccines and Human Vaccines & Immunotherapeutics before completely transferring the the Human Vaccines & Immunotherapeutics title in 2015.
During this transition it is fairly simple math to combine the two impact factors to gauge the overall performance of the title across the period of transition. A "Journal Title Changes" hyperlink will be provided on the Journal Summary List screen in the JCR for both titles to indicate the title change and provide details on what the title changed from/to, similar to how this is noted on pubmed. We understand this can be confusing when sharing impact factor information. This is a common practice and institutions should be familiar with the process; if there are any questions feel free to contact the Managing Editor, Robin Avila
