Call for Papers

We invite you to submit your next work either as an original paper or review article to a new unique international peer-reviewed journal entitled Oxidative Medicine and Cellular Longevity.

Oxidative stress impacts upon almost all acute and chronic progressive disorders in human physiology and interest in oxidative stress and cellular longevity continues to grow at an exponential pace. Oxidative Medicine and Cellular Longevity will focus upon the cellular and molecular mechanisms of oxidative stress in the nervous system and related organ systems in regards to aging, immune function, cardiovascular biology, metabolism, cancer, cellular survival, and cellular longevity. The objectives of the journal will center on the hottest areas in science and medicine. The journal will fill a significant void in today's scientific literature and will serve as an international forum for the scientific community worldwide to translate pioneering "bench to bedside" research into clinical strategies.

Top ten reasons for publishing in Oxidative Medicine and Cellular Longevity:

  1. Oxidative Medicine and Cellular Longevity uses both traditional print and electronic formats and is open access for the initial year without fees. All subsequent papers are made open access after they have been published online for one year or made for immediate open access with a minimal charge that is less than "open access only" journals.
  2. Oxidative Medicine and Cellular Longevity is indexed in PubMed/MEDLINE and is also included in PubMed Central with automatic deposit of papers.  In less than a year in publication, the journal also has been accepted for indexing in ISI Thompson Reuters Science Citation Index Expanded, Web of Science, Biochemistry Biophysics Citation Index, Biological Abstracts, and Biosis Previews for author and journal citations, a feat achieved only by 10% of submitted journals.
  3. Oxidative Medicine and Cellular Longevity offers a category of articles that are called Extra Views. These manuscripts may include data or models, which due to space limitations were not included or discussed in an original paper published elsewhere. In other words, authors may provide their opinions, views, new interpretations, and discussion complementing their original article that has been published elsewhere. As with other papers published in the journal, Extra Views appear on-line, in print (and, eventually, on PubMed). The typical Extra View includes an abstract (150–200 words), key words (5–-10 for indexing purposes), any considered necessary subheadings by the authors as in a research paper, review paper, or perspective paper, and the citation for the original article, including the full author list, title of the article and journal information.
  4. Oxidative Medicine and Cellular Longevity provides expedited peer review of manuscripts usually within 48 hours to facilitate on-line and in print publication of accepted papers. Accepted papers are available immediately on the journal's website.
  5. Oxidative Medicine and Cellular Longevity is strongly supported by an internationally renowned Editorial Board with expertise in multiple disciplines to promote rapid and unbiased assessment of papers in cutting edge research.  Since its initial launch, Oxidative Medicine and Cellular Longevity has garnered the rapid support of well-recognized international investigators.
  6. Oxidative Medicine and Cellular Longevity features full-length Original Research articles, Short Communications, comprehensive Reviews, Opinion papers and Extra Views as well as entertains suggestions of timely areas of interest to achieve a large reader base.
  7. Oxidative Medicine and Cellular Longevity promotes the publication of work from a broad range of scientific and clinical disciplines since oxidative stress pathways affects several related systems throughout the body.
  8. Oxidative Medicine and Cellular Longevity cover pages are individualized for each issue and selectively designed and prepared in full color to highlight the topics presented for a particular issue.
  9. Oxidative Medicine and Cellular Longevity features pioneering studies and novel formats without page limitations.
  10. Oxidative Medicine and Cellular Longevity maintains a current integration with the published scientific literature and provides addenda of papers presented in other journals as well as commentaries of high impact scientific developments.

With our great enthusiasm and excitement for Oxidative Medicine and Cellular Longevity, we look forward to receiving your next work. Please visit the Submission Guidelines for more information.
