The 8th Japanese Drosophila Research Conference (JDRC8) took place in the Awaji island in Kansai Area (July2-4, 2007), attracting more than 300 participants including 66 non-Japanese-speaking scientists. The meeting was held for the first time solely in English. In this report, we summarize the part of developmental neurobiology, neuroscience, behaviour and imaging.
