About Chinese Journal of Cancer

In July 2008, Landes Bioscience and Sun Yat-sen University Cancer Center began co-publishing the international, English-language version of AI ZHENG or the Chinese Journal of Cancer (CJC).

CJC publishes original research, reviews, extra views, perspectives, supplements, and spotlights in all areas of cancer research. The primary criteria for publication in CJC are originality, outstanding scientific merit, and general interest. The Editorial Board is composed of members from around the world, who will strive to maintain the highest standards for excellence in order to generate a valuable resource for an international readership.

Why publish in CJC?

The goal is to transform the Chinese Journal of Cancer into an international cancer journal with the highest possible exposure and readership.

All articles in CJC will appear both in print and online.

Articles will be widely cited and read because CJC is already indexed at Pubmed/Medline.

CJC will be published in English and Chinese. There is no cost to authors for translation of their English articles into Chinese.

CJC encourages timely peer reviews and seeks to provide an editorial decision within 30 days of manuscript submission.

Online subscriptions to CJC are free for individuals until July 2009.

CJC will reconsider papers rejected by Science, Nature and Cell and others.

We recognize that excellent papers may have been passed over by other journals. We will reconsider papers that have been rejected by other journals such as Nature, Science, Nature Medicine, Nature Cell Biology, Cell, Cancer Cell, NEJM, and Lancet in the original format of those journals. This saves our authors time and effort. We encourage authors to enclose the reviewers' and/or editorial comments from the original journal in order to expedite the evaluation of the article. Of course, it is also possible that the article might be accepted based on its previous review. This will allow the urgent and competitive research to be published on the day of submission. Presubmission inquires may be sent to Dr. Blagosklonny, Editor for North America.
