Understanding how tumor suppressor genes are inactivated is important for the development of drugs capable of reactivating them. In this issue of Cancer Biology & Therapy, Sakamoto and colleagues analyze expression of CABLES in numerous ovarian cancers. This months cover shows that expression of the tumor suppressor CABLES is present in the nuclei of cells in ovarian inclusion cysts (solid arrow) but lost from the nuclei of cancerous regions (open arrow). The mechanisms of CABLES inactivation are further described in the article by Sakamoto et al.
