The cover image shows inhibition of tumor growth in living mice as monitored by scintigraphic imaging of [99mTc]-pertechnetate using a gamma ray camera. Statistically significant tumor growth inhibition was observed in mice treated with 131I but not in mice treated with PBS up to 46 days post-tumor challenge. Additional details concerning these results and the therapeutic effect of the lentiviral vector system carrying the hNIS gene under the UbC promoter can be found in the article by Chung et al. in this issue of Cancer Biology & Therapy.
