Zebrafish embryo displays aberrant dorsal curvature characteristic of radiation damage 24 hrs after exposure to 40 Gray of ionizing radiation. Knockdown of tp53 mRNA by microinjection of complementary hydroxylprolyl-phosphono peptide nucleic acid oligomers protected zebrafish embryos against radiation defects and death.
