The cover image shows at 400x magnification the overexpression of EMMPRIN (extracellular matrix metalloproteinase inducer, CD147) in pancreatic ductal carcinoma. EMMPRIN participates in the progression of various malignancies by stimulating the synthesis of specific MMPs from peritumoral fibroblasts.
