This book discusses the evolutionary origin and diversification of eukaryotic endomembranes and cytoskeleton from a cell biological and comparative genomic perspective. The premise of this book is that convincing experimental cell biologists to speculate about the evolutionary origin of the cell biological processes they are working on, the scientific community will gain fresh insight into the problem of eukaryote origins from scientists who possess intimate knowledge of how eukaryotic cells function.
